Innovators

What does INNOVATOR status mean?

The second tier in the Cambridge LaunchPad is for students between 11 and 15 years of age. The ‘Innovator’ programme aims to expand the student’s knowledge and interest in STEM.

The programme begins with a brief presentation to the year group to introduce the concept of LaunchPad and explains the work that they will complete as part of the scheme. A project is devised by a corporate partner, which encourages the students to research a specific topic.

Students work in gender balanced teams of six which compete to represent their school at an activity day hosted by a corporate partner.

The winning students are invited to an awards dinner with the Scholars, where they are presented with their awards. The winning students are also invited to an educational experience/industrial visit in order to further their STEM interest.
